As the majority of the Arai took it on themselves to prevail over humans, some refused. Sereac'arai was numbered among such dissenters who began to shelter humans in order to keep them safe from their kin. Sereac'arai avoided being captured his entire life, all the while teaching the band of humans the skills they would need to survive.
Some insist Sereac'arai's presence has persisted even after his death.
